Sealed bids marked "Sealed Bid--Parish of Washington Community Development Block Grant--Disaster Recovery Project to be financed by the State of Louisiana, Hurricane Katrina/Rita CDBG--Disaster Recovery Program” will be received by the Owner for the construction of the project described as follows:
A triangular steel, self-supporting communications tower with tower mounted communication equipment, access road, staging area, support structures and fencing to facilitate the communications needs of the entire Parish.
Proposals shall be addressed to the Parish of Washington, and delivered to 803 Pearl Street, Franklinton, LA 70438 not later than 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday the 7th (Seventh) day of September , 2010.
Sealed bids to be marked "Sealed Bid--Parish of Washington Community Development Block Grant--Disaster Recovery Project to be financed by the State of Louisiana, Hurricane Katrina/Rita CDBG--Disaster Recovery Program”. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered.
The information for Bidders, Form of Bid Proposal, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of Richard C. Lambert Consultants, LLC located at 900 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of $112.00. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212. Plans can viewed and bids submitted electronically through the internet at www.centralauctionhouse.com
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U. S. Department of Treasury Circular 570.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The Attention of Bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Parish of Washington no later than seven (7) days prior to bid opening.
There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting at the project site on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 @ 1:00 P.M.
