NOTICE is hereby given that the CITY OF FLOWOOD, MS (herein called the Owner) will receive bids until the hour of 10:30 AM on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 for the following project:
CITY OF FLOWOOD TERM BIDS – ASPHALT PAVING & RELATED ITEMS
(August 2024 through December 31st, 2024)
The project scope is for the Bidder to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required to accomplish any one or all of the following work: cold milling of bituminous pavement, bituminous base course, bituminous surface course, and other items as shown on the Proposal Form on streets, parking lots or other City of Flowood owned pavement surfaces. The unit prices and all work associated with the bids shall be honored by each Bidder during the period of August 2024 through December 31st, 2024 unless otherwise agreed to by all parties.
Official Drawings and Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232.Copies of the Contract Documents and Specifications, may be obtained from the office of Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC, 660 Katherine Dr., Suite 302 upon payment of $100 for each set, none of which is refundable or downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Bids shall be submitted in one of the following manners: 1) Paper Form, in duplicate, to the office of the City Clerk in Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232 in a sealed envelope designated as “Bid For: City of Flowood Term Bid – Asphalt Paving & Related Items (Fall 2024)”. The outside of said envelope shall bear the Bidder’s Name, and Certificate of Responsibility Number and shall be Addressed to: The Honorable Mayor and Board of Alderman, City of Flowood, 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232; or, 2) Electronically at www.centralbidding.com.
No prospective BIDDER/CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The intent of Bids received by Owner is to establish unit prices for anticipated work that may be necessary to repair City Owned infrastructure in emergency or certain other situations. Bids will be compared and awarded at the time services are needed on the basis of the required pay items, quantity and unit price for the work that is required and the availability of the Bidder.
The CITY OF FLOWOOD reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities or to reject any or all bids.
