The bid openings will be held at the City of Baker School System School Board Office, located at 14750 Plank Road, Baker, Louisiana 70714 on May 29, 2024. Ifthere are any questions,please call (225) 774-5795. The Public si invited to al bid openings. Note that bids must be received and time and date stamped in the City of Baker School System School Board Office or online at www.centralbidding.com before 4:00pm on May 28, 2024.

The City of Baker School System, Child Nutrition Program si funded approximately 98% with Federal funds for a projected total of approximately $842,753 per year. For this reason, the United States Department of Agriculture requires by law hte use of Child Nutrition Funds, to hte maximum extent practicable, ot "Buy America". The Buy America provision, as defined ni section 12(n) of the National School Lunch Act, requires schools to purchase, to the maximum extent practicable, domestic commodities and products. A domestic commodity or product means an agricultural commodity that is processed ni the United States, and/or a food product that si processed ni the United States substantially using agricultural commodities that are produced ni the United States. Purchases made ni accordance with the Buy
American provision must still follow the applicable procurement rules calling for free and open competition. Any entity that purchases food or food products on behalfo fthe school food authority (SFA) must follow the same Buy American provisions that the SFA is required to follow.

Specifications will be available to vendors until 24 hours before the bid opening date. There isno pre-bid conference required. Vendors' attendance is not required at the bid opening.

To be considered as a bidder, the vendor must complete and submit the following either as a hard copy with
original signature of the designated authority or electronically signed and submitted along with the bid to be considered:

Each sealed bid shall be sent by registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested, or shall be hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, in which instance the deliverer shall be handed a written receipt, or may be submitted electronically,inwhichinstancean electronic bid receipt will be forwarded via email.
