NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Tylertown, Mississippi (the “Town”), will receive bids for the sale to and lease purchase by the Town over a term of five (5) years, of one (1) new and unused compactor truck and body unit consisting of an assembled truck chassis and 20 cubic yard high compaction rear loading refuse body described in specifications on file in the office of the Municipal Clerk of the town.
Un-priced bid proposals will be accepted from 10:00 A.M. local time December 9, 2021 until 10:00 A.M. local time December 28, 2021 in sealed envelopes clearly labeled on the outside of the bid envelope “Compactor Truck Bid” at the office of the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Tylertown, Mississippi, City Hall, 308 Beulah Avenue, Tylertown, Mississippi 39667, or by electronic bid submission. Submissions, whether provided on paper by sealed envelope submission or electronically, will be evaluated and vendors submitting acceptable offers will be invited to submit priced bids. The equipment offered shall be according to minimum specifications therefor on file in the office of the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Tylertown, Mississippi. Specifications are also available through Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com.
Bidding will be held by ELECTRONIC REVERSE AUCTION on January 11, 2022, beginning at 10:00 A.M. local time and ending at 11:00 A.M., local time.
The Town of Tylertown, Mississippi, reserves the right to utilize “anti-sniping” for reverse auctions. Anti-sniping is a tool that automatically extends the bid time for a reverse auction by five (5) minutes if a vendor places a bid in the final five (5) minutes of the reverse auction. The anti-sniping effect will also auto-extend the reverse auction bid time any time a bid is placed in the last five (5) minutes of the reverse auction and can auto extend the reverse auction multiple times until the bidding on the reverse auction ends.
Specifications are available by contacting the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Tylertown, Mississippi, at 601-876-4011 in order to obtain the bid documents between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. local time. Electronic copies of the bid specifications are available by contacting Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com for a fee. All bids must comply with the specifications provided. The Town of Tylertown reserves the right to amend the specifications as necessary and agrees to notify all parties having requested bid packets of any such amendment.

[email protected] not less than seven (7) days prior to the bid due date. All questions must be submitted in writing; telephonic inquiries will not be considered.
The Town of Tylertown is NOT responsible for bids which are mailed to the wrong address or which arrive in the mail after the designated bid opening time.
The project will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. However, the Town of Tylertown reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality.

Any purchase by the Town will be for municipal purposes. All lease-purchase bidders are advised by the Town: (1) to take notice of the appropriate Mississippi statutes relating to lease-purchase agreements made by Mississippi municipalities, and particularly the non-appropriation provisions thereof, and (2) that the Town will furnish to any such bidder, upon request therefor, certified copies of all minute entries or other records of the Town relative to the transaction, but the Town will not furnish any attorney's opinion or other representation, including any opinion or representation that the interest to be paid under a lease-purchase contract is exempt from income tax.
The Town of Tylertown reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any or all bids in whole or in part.
