SECTION 1 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS COLUMBIA-MARION COUNTY AIRPLEX PROPOSED INTERSECTION MARION COUNTY, MS Sealed bids for Columbia-Marion County AirPlex, Proposed Intersection, Marion County, Mississippi, will be received by the Marion County Economic Development District, until 10:00 AM local time on June 23, 2020, at the office of the Marion County Economic Development District, 412 Courthouse Square, Columbia, Mississippi 39429, and immediately thereafter will be opened and publicly read. The work involved in the project includes clearing and grubbing, erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention measures, minor earthwork, concrete curb and gutter, aggregate base, and asphalt paving and is more particularly described in the project Construction Drawings and Contract Documents. Contract Documents may be examined and secured by suppliers and contractors from the office of Dungan Engineering, P.A., 1574 Highway 98 East, Columbia, Mississippi 39429, 601-731-2600, upon receipt of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per set, which shall be non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to the Dungan Engineering, P.A. Only bids from contractors who secured Contract Documents from Dungan Engineering, P.A. or Central Bidding will be opened. Bidders choosing to submit electronically are required to contact the Marion County Board of Supervisors at 601-736-7382 or Central Bidding at 225-810-4814 for information regarding electronic bidding requirements. Electronic bids can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. Bid preparation will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders found in the Contract Documents.
