Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for a project on various NRCS WRP/WRE Easements located in Avoyelles & St. Landry Parish Louisiana. We are having a pre-bid meeting for the project on: September 22nd at 9:00 AM. We will meet at the entrance of the Dugas Project Site at the intersection of State HWY 115 and Guilbeau Sub Rd. approximately 1.8 miles south of the intersection of State HWY 1 and State HWY 115, just south of Marksville Louisiana (North 31°6’7.15” and West 92°5’10.90”). We will park adjacent to a red brick home just inside of the entrance to initially meet then drive further on the property to show the site. The Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory but is strongly suggested that interested bidders attend.

The work on this project consists of earthfill/embankment and excavation, steel water control structures, geo-web spillway, seed, fertilizer, mulch, and associated site preparation. This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans and specifications and associated with constructing the project according to the plans.

Additional Notes/Requirements

Bids will be rejected if the bidder is not on DU’s pre-qualified contractors list. Bidders are encouraged to verify their pre-qualification prior to submitting a bid. Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications. It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws.
