BID NOTICE

Sealed bids will be received by Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 (mailing address PO Box 2392, Gonzales, LA 70707-2392) until October 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. local time.  The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
 
SHAVINGS
SCREENED COTTONWOOD OR WHITE PINE SHAVINGS
 
Shavings should be shaved wood, no or very limited sawdust content.  Individual bales to be wrapped in heavy plastic paper.  Shavings bales to be 12”x16”x29”, compressed 3.5 – 4.0 cubic feet per bale, and shall weigh 40 - 50 pounds suitable to bed 10’x10’ stalls.  Shavings bales to be identified by name of vendor and cubic ft. content of each bale. To be delivered on pallets, 32 bales per pallet, secured with heavy plastic wrap.
 
FOB DESTINATION, QUOTE TO INCLUDE SHIPPING CHARGES IF APPLICABLE
To be delivered to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center located at 9039 S. St. Landry Ave, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737
 
Bid will be accepted on a price per bale only for a one year period, **Bid effective November 30, 2018 through November 29, 2019**.
 
Specifications/bidding documents may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Government, Purchasing Department located at 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Electronic Bids are accepted at Central Bidding http://www.centralauctionhouse.com.  For questions related to the electronic bidding process, please call Central Bidding at (225) 810-4814. All addenda, corrections, and responses to this public notice shall be posted to http://www.centralauctionhouse.com.
 
Requirement:  All material ordered must be delivered within fifteen (15) working days from the date of order.
 
The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid , response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
 
Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
