INVITATION FOR BIDS

Sealed bids subject to the conditions contained herein, will be publicly opened and read aloud at Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department Central Station, 800 Parish Road, Thibodaux, LA 70301 at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 21, 2019, for the following:

                                One (1) New 2019 Custom Pumper Apparatus

Specifications may be obtained from Chad Mire, Chief of the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department by calling 985-637-1659. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid submitted as a proposal guarantee, which, it is agreed by the contractor, will be forfeited in the event their proposal is accepted and the contract is not executed. Bid bond shall be signed by an officer of the manufacturing company. Personal or company checks are not acceptable as a bonding medium. All bidders must have the ability to provide the requested bid bond and performance bond called for in these specifications. Companies who are only able to provide a supply bond in lieu of a performance bond will not be considered.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Each proposal shall be submitted on the bid form provided by the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.
The successful bidder will enter into a contract with the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. A performance bond acceptable to the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. must be submitted within thirty (30) days after the formal awarding of the contract.
The Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department reserves the right, as the interest of the department may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.
Any bids received after the announcing closing time will be returned to the bidder unopened.
