LEGAL NOTICE – INVITATION TO BID
The City of Pass Christian, Mississippi will be accepting electronic or sealed bids for the following project:
North Street Gravity Sewer Improvements – Phases 2 and 3
The project includes construction of approximately 10,000 linear feet of new gravity sanitary sewer main adjacent to North Street from the intersection with Woodman Avenue to the intersection with Menge Avenue with manholes and all related appurtenances. The project also includes removal of the existing sanitary sewer mains, manholes and related appurtenances as well as reconnecting sewers to the new main at select locations as part of the base bid. Bid alternate includes replacement of pump station #28.
Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at the Office of City Clerk, at City Hall, Pass Christian, Mississippi. Official bid documents can also be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. A Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., and will be held at the Pass Christian City Hall, located at 200 W. Scenic Drive, Pass Christian, MS.
All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder’s name, address, date and time of the bid opening, and the words “North Street Gravity Sewer Improvements – Phases 2 and 3” written on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope. The Bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility Number shall be written on the exterior of the envelope. The absence of the Bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility Number on the exterior of the envelope will cause the declared bid to not be opened or considered. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form payable to the City of Pass Christian in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid.
Electronic or sealed Bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of Pass Christian, Mississippi until 4:00 P.M., and publicly opened after 6:00 P.M. (local time) on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in the City Hall Board Room. Bids may be mailed, or hand delivered, to 200 West Scenic Drive, Pass Christian, Mississippi 39571. If submitting an electronic bid, the bid must be in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for paper bids. Electronic bid must be secured with a bid bond. When submitting a bid electronically, the authorized signature shall be an electronic signature or handwritten in blue ink signature. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupt attachment, the bid will be considered null and void.
The project is funded through Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA). The successful bidder must comply with all federal, state and local requirements contained in the Contract Documents, as identified in the bid proposal packet.
Minority and Women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
