NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Scott County, Mississippi at the Scott County Courthouse, Forest, Mississippi, until 10:00 a.m. on the 20th day of February, 2024 and shortly thereafter publicly opened for 0.129 miles of BRIDGE AND APPROACHES on MORTON MARATHON ROAD known as Project No. ERBR-SAP-62(61) in Scott County, Mississippi.
Contractors have the option of submitting bids either electronically by Central Bidding, www.centralbidding.com or paper sealed bids addressed and delivered to the Scott County Board of Supervisors, at the time and date noted above.
CONTRACT TIME: 150 Working Days
BASIS OF AWARD: The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of the Chancery Clerk of Scott County and the County Engineer's office. This project shall be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. However, State Aid is not involved in this project.
PLANS AND PROPOSALS may be secured from Kevin C. Thompson, County Engineer for Scott County, Mississippi, 9085A Pine Springs Road, Meridian, MS. The Cost is twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for plans and twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the proposal, non-refundable. OR PLANS AND PROPOSALS may be downloaded from Central Bidding at
www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids can be submitted at

Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Scott County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
