ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PARISH ROADSIDE GRASS MAINTENANCE
 
Sealed bids will be received by the Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury at 160 East Main Street, Courthouse Annex Building, New Roads, Louisiana until 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 and then publicly opened and read for the Parish Roadside Grass Maintenance (grass cutting) of parish owned public roads.
 
Prospective bidders should consider and include cost and services required for along 115 miles of parish owned public roads provided on an annual basis beginning May and ending November for services based on approximately four (4) cuts per year. 
Other requirements are as follows:

• Provide the needed equipment, minimum 3 tractors, 2 mowers, 1 side boom, manpower, fuel, and maintenance.
• Proof of no less than $1 million general liability insurance and worker compensation insurance.

This is not an all-inclusive list and may be amended.  This service does expose the general public to the hazards of roadside grass cutting and it shall be a requirement that all equipment and operator safety guidelines are followed and that proper signage is utilized to advise and protect the public and operators.
