NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners for the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District, in its office in Port Allen, Louisiana, up to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 and can also be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com for the following equipment:
 
One (1) 2015 Year Model Open Cab Hydraulic Track Bulldozer
with Winch and Metal Forest Screen and Limb Risers
All bids will be publicly opened and read at 4:00 p.m. of the same day, and any bid received after 2:00 p.m. will be returned unopened. All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope by the dealer and marked in bold print to indicate the above item bid. It is mandatory that all bids are submitted on forms provided by the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District, otherwise bid will be considered null and void.  Detailed specifications and proposal forms are available at the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District office, 525 Court Street, Port Allen, Louisiana, telephone number (225) 387-2249 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The specifications are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type, character, and quality of the product desired. Equivalent or better products will be acceptable. Variations of lesser quality and functionality are a potential for bid rejection.  Failure to note variations are a basis for dismissal as well.
Prospective bidders must have a dealer certified mechanic shop within 35 miles of the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District Port Allen, Louisiana office capable of providing all warranty requirements as a pre-requisite to bidding.
No bid bond is required for this project.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least (45) days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids.
The Atchafalaya Basin Levee Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid(s), which in the opinion of the Levee Board will be in the best interest of the Board.
