Sixth Street, Alexandria, Louisiana 71301 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 for:
Northwood High School Weight Room Expansion Project

(BID NO. 23-55)

After stamping to acknowledge timely receipt, the bids will be publicly opened and read by the Executive
Committee and/or staff of the Rapides Parish School Board. Sole responsibility for proper delivery of bid is
that of the bidder. Any offer received after closing time (2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2:00PM) will be
returned unopened.
Technical Specification and Drawings: Specifications and Drawings may be obtained from: Ashe,
Broussard, Weinzettle Architects, 301 Jackson Street, Suite 205, Alexandria, LA 71301; Telephone: 318-473-
0252 upon deposit of Twenty-Five Dollars and No/100 ($25.00) for each set of documents. The full deposit of
the first set of hard copy Quote Documents is fully refundable to all bona fide prime contractors submitting a
quote upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than ten (10) days after receipt of quotes. The
deposit of additional sets issued to prime contractors and for subcontractors is 50% refundable after return of
quote documents in good condition, no later than ten (10) days after receipt of quotes. Documents are also
available in PDF at no charge. Specifications and bid forms are also available at www.centralbidding.com; fees
may be associated with the use of this site.
All bids must be accompanied by an original bid security equal to five (5%) of the total amount bid and must be
in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Bank Money Order or Bid Bond written by a company
licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana.
There will be a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:00AM at Northwood High
School, Front Office.
Award will not be made on the date of the bid opening, but will be awarded by the School Board at a later
meeting.
Subject to the provisions of R.S. 38:2211, et seq., the Rapides Parish School Board reserves the right to reject
any or all bids for just cause. Each bidder, shall submit with their bid satisfactory evidence that they have
complied with the requirements of the LA Contractor's Licensing Law, Louisiana R.S. 37:2150, et seq., and are
fully qualified to enter into contract with the Rapides Parish School Board.
