Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City   Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on August 2nd, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time for this project, at which time bids will be opened and read.
 
Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on July 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
 
Project Scope: The project will accomplish the reconstruction of the airport’s 600’ x 300’ terminal apron pavement and connecting Taxiways A2 and G, along with an adjacent apron pavement  area serving the airport’s aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) facility.  In all, approximately 28,000 square yards of existing pavement will be reconstructed and another nearly 2,700 square yards resurfaced, along with associated pavement edge lighting and pavement markings, including approximately 4,080 cubic yards of cement concrete pavement (CCP) material, nearly 8,500 tons of asphalt mix pavement (AMP) materials, and approximately 600 tons of cement to be utilized for subgrade and base stabilization.  If funding permits, an alternative bid schedule will include an expansion of the terminal apron for an additional 3,590 square yards of new pavement, including approximately 700 additional cubic yards of CCP materials and 1,180 additional tons of AMP materials.
