Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the LAKE HACKBERRY - MARSH ENHANCEMENT project.  We are having a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting and site showing to interested contractors from our bidders list at 10:00AM on April 22, 2025.  We will meet at Bob’s Bayou Black Marina boat launch office, located at 251 Marina Dr, Gibson, LA 70356.  Please see the attached vicinity map or plan sheet 3.  Ducks Unlimited will not shuttle contractors to the project site for the site showing or any investigative efforts requested.  Please bring your own boat and all necessary personal flotation device.
 
The work on this project consists of a base bid of timberwork for the installation of 2,300 linear feet of wave fencing, and two alternate bids for a southern and northern set of earthen breach plugs, at 220 & 120 linear feet of earthen barrow(in-situ) embankment placement, respectively.  This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans and specifications and associated with constructing the project according to the plans.  The Successful Bidder will be selected based off of the Base Bid items ONLY. Contract completion time is 75 calendar days for Base Bid items. Furthermore, if awarded with the Base bid, the Alternate Bids will include an additional 30 calendar days. Bids shall be submitted online through Central Bidding by 1:00 P.M. CST on May 8, 2025.  A Limited Notice to Proceed shall be issued after all contracting documents have been completed to begin material procurement.  It is anticipated that a Full Notice to Proceed will be issued near the end of June 2025.
