ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Air Cooled Chiller and Controls Retrofit, Monroe County Government Complex Building in Amory, MS

Sealed bids or electronic bids will be received by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MONROE COUNTY at the Monroe County Chancery Building, 201 West Commerce Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi, not later than Friday, December 22, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. for AIR COOLED CHILLER AND CONTROLS RETROFIT AT THE MONROE COUNTY GOVERNMENT COMPLEX BUILDING IN AMORY, MS, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.

The proposed work will be awarded in a lump-sum proposal in accordance to the various proposition.  Bidder shall provide crane and all materials to remove the old chiller and set the new one in its place.  Demo existing pipe connections; haul off the old chiller for disposal.  Install new chiller and controls, and test for proper operation.

Bidders may tour the facility to observe the necessary work prior to preparing bid.  Contact Bob Prisock at [email protected] to arrange a time to view the facility.

Proposals must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of acceptable Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who may be awarded the contract, but who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute contract and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the time specified.

All bids submitted must comply with Chapter 31, Section 3 of the Mississippi Code enact 1972.  Proposal envelopes must be clearly marked “AIR COOLED CHILLER AND CONTROLS RETROFIT AT THE MONROE COUNTY GOVERNMENT COMPLEX BUILDING IN AMORY, MS”.  Proposal to be opened December 22, 2023".

The Monroe County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding.
