INVITATION TO BID
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT sealed bids will be received by the City of Fellsmere until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at which time the bids will be opened, for furnishing all labor and materials for the following project:
FELLSMERE OLD SCHOOL WINDOW/DOOR RENOVATION
Bids may be sent by mail to be sent or hand-delivered to 22 South Orange Street, Fellsmere, Florida 32948. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above office immediately following the above-stated closing time.
Bids received after the time set for the opening of the bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened, subject to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders.
Copies of the general conditions, plans and specifications and other bidding documents are on file in the above office and open for public inspection. Copies can be viewed and downloaded online at: Bids and RFPs | Fellsmere Florida (cityoffellsmere.org). Complete sets of general conditions, plans and specifications and other bidding documents may be obtained by applying to Laura Hammer, Grant Administrator, 22 S. Orange Street, Fellsmere, FL 32948, at a cost of $50 per set, which shall be refundable if returned unmarked and in good condition, within ten (10) days after the bid opening. Additional complete sets of bidding documents will be available at a cost of $50, nonrefundable.

All bids shall be submitted on the Bid Proposal forms provided in the Specifications. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the sealed proposal of each builder will be required as follows: a cashier’s check, a certified check, or a surety bond payable to the City of Fellsmere. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. If the Contract is awarded to a Bidder, that Bidder shall enter into a Contract with the City and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificates of Insurance or forfeit the Bid Bond or security as liquidated damages. A contract must be executed within ten (10) days following the award of the successful bidder.
The City reserves the right to delay the awarding of the Contract for up to sixty (60) days after the bid opening, to waive information in any bid, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interests of the City.
