The Calcasieu Parish School Board will receive sealed bids before 2:00 P.M. February 28, 2018 at the Calcasieu Parish School Board, Planning & Construction Department, Chennault Facilities, 3800 Mallard Cove Drive, P.B. #506, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70615 for Limestone Stacking Drive at A. A. Nelson Elementary School ,General Funds Bid No. 2018-12PC Complete plans and specifications may be obtained from Chapeaux, Evans, Hotard, APAC, 702 Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive Charles, La. 70601. No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier’s check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond Form contained in the Front End Documents written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with a A.M. Best rating of “A” or better, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed agent in this state and who is residing in this state. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150- 2163, Act 635, effective January 1, 1989, for the classifications “Building Construction” or “Highway, Street and Bridge Construction”. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (c) and/or R.S. 39:1594 (C) (2) (d). Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside, “Limestone Stacking Drive at A. A. Nelson Elementary School”, General Funds, Bid No. 2018-12PC to be opened at 2:00 P.M., February 28, 2 P.M. at the Calcasieu Parish School Board, Planning & Construction Department, Chennault Facilities, P.B. #506, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70615”. Mandatory Pre-Bid Friday February 16, 2018 at 10:00 at Site. Prime Bidders and Site Subcontractors are required to attend. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity. The Architect will furnish one (1) CD-ROM with .pdf version of the Contract Documents to each Bidder, which may be duplicated, distributed, and /or reproduced as required. No deposit will be required. Note: No printed copies will be made or distributed.
