Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received ONLY at the office of Mader Engineering, Inc., located at 1245 South College Rd., Bldg. 1, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503, or by electronic bid at www.madereng.com until 10:00 o'clock a.m. on Thursday the 26th day of October, 2023 for the:
 
MERMENTAU RIVER HARBOR AND TERMINAL DISTRICT SLIP IMPROVEMENTS
FOR THE
MERMENTAU RIVER HARBOR & TERMINAL DISTRICT
 
Properly submitted bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the above specified time for opening shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened to the sender.
 
Copies of plans and specifications are available at www.madereng.com. This will be the only method of plan distribution.
 
Proposals shall be addressed to Mader Engineering, Inc. and delivered to Mader Engineering, Inc. located at 1245 South College Rd., Bldg. 1, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503, or by electronic bid at www.madereng.com, not later than 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Proposals shall be designated as "Sealed Bid – Mermentau River Harbor and Terminal District Slip Improvements".  Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the office of Mader Engineering, Inc. The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid Proposal, Form of Contract, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the office of Mader Engineering, Inc. located at 1245 S. College Road, Building, 1, Lafayette, LA 70503.
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
 
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570.
 
Contractor's classification shall be Specialty: Dredging, Wharves, Docks, Harbor Improvements and Terminals, Earthwork, Drainage and Levees, Heavy Construction, Or Municipal and Public Works Construction.
 
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
 
Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Mermentau River Harbor & Terminal District, or Mader Engineering., Inc. no later than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
