Furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision and performing all operations necessary for the completion of Mississippi State Port Authority “East Pier Rail Repairs” project at Gulfport, Mississippi as described in the contract documents. The Contractor shall provide and furnish all tools, equipment, materials, supervision, labor, subsistence, rental, subcontractors, permitting, profit, overhead, appropriate taxes, and any other related costs. The Contractor shall provide all materials required, except those specifically indicated as being Owner Furnished by Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport. The work includes all that is necessary to provide the Owner with a complete project.
Generally, the project includes repairs to the Port of Gulfport’s East Pier railroad to bring the rail into compliance with KCS requirements and ready for use by the Port. Repairs will include the following: replacement of ties, ballast, and bolts; track regauging; track resurfacing; replacement of switch stands & head block ties; installation of at-grade crossing; installation of railroad crossing signs; and replacement of rail, sole plates, and bolts inside the Shed 50 warehouse.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at
2510 14th Street, Suite 1450, Gulfport, Mississippi 39501 to be followed by a site
inspection trip. Each Bidder is required to visit and inspect the site of Work to fully obtain
