NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
TERREBONNE PARISH, LOUISIANA
 
REMOUNT BODY TO NEW TRUCK CHASSIS
 
      Sealed proposals for the Remounting of Body on New Truck Chassis will be received by the BOARD OF SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, SCHRIEVER, LOUISIANA, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th, 2015 at their meeting place, the SCHRIEVER FIRE STATION, 1529 WEST PARK AVENUE, SCHRIEVER, LOUISIANA, at which time and place said proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Any proposal received after the announced closing time will be returned unopened.
 
      All proposals shall be sealed and shall be addressed as follows:
 
            REMOUNT BODY TO NEW TRUCK CHASSIS
            SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT   
            BOARD OF DIRECTORS
            SCHRIEVER FIRE STATION
            SCHRIEVER, LOUISIANA   70295
 
      If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation “BID ENCLOSED” on the face thereof.  Proposals submitted through the mail must be posted sufficiently before the bid date to assure delivery ahead of time set for receipt of proposals and should be addressed to SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, C/O SCHRIEVER VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC., P.O. Box 83, Schriever, Louisiana, 70395. 
 
      Every bid submitted shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a certified check cashier’s check or bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and shall be made payable to the SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.  All bid bonds shall be accompanied by a duly authorized power of attorney and shall be guaranteed by a surety company qualified to do business in the State of Louisiana.

      The Board of Directors the SCHRIEVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities.
