The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is accepting bids for furnishing food products to be used by the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex Center for a period of one (1) year effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. Delivery from stock will be immediately after bid award. Payment will be made within (30) days of delivery.

Interested persons may obtain a bid list on the food products by contacting the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Purchasing Division at (985)876-2500 or (985)857-0341 or online bids are being accepted on www.centralbidding.com

Bids must be sealed and submitted to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Motorpool Division, 137 Capital Blvd. Houma, Louisiana 70360 no later than 10:00a.m. on June 6, 2013 to Captain David LeBoeuf, Purchasing Agent. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened.

The Sheriff reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any bids deemed not in the best public interest.

To Whom It May Concern: As you know we are in the process of bidding out the food products for the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for a period of one year, from July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014. We are required by Health Code Standards to check temperatures of all items delivered. All delivered items must be the temperature range that is acceptable for items that have to be kept refrigerated. We ask that you help us in this regard to ensure the continued quality and freshness of these items and are kept at the correct temperatures. Refrigerated items over 41 degrees and frozen items over 32 degrees will be refused. We will review all bids and award the entire bid to the lowest bidder, excluding dairy products and bread which we will accept bids for the companies specializing in those products. ALL BIDS AWARDED IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THIS DEPARTMENT AND THE PUBLIC INTEREST. The Sheriff reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any bids deemed not in the best public interest. To make the bid process as fair as possible, we are asking that all meat products are bid by the pound not by the case. If any of your case sizes (all items) are different from the bid sheet please list your case sizes in the space provided on the bid sheet. We are providing you with an estimated weekly case usage on the bid sheet next to each item. After you have established your bid price, we ask that you multiply your price with the weekly case usage and put the total in the extended price column provided on the bid sheet. (1) Once the bid is awarded, we ask that the sales person for that company have an order system set up so the orders can be placed on line 7 days a week. All grocery delivery trucks need to deliver on the designated delivery dates no later than 8:00 am. All dairy and bakery deliveries need to deliver on their designated delivery dates no later than 4:00 am, due to scheduled feeding times. All empty milk creates and bread racks must be picked up on delivery dates. All bids must be sent or hand delivered to 137 Capital Blvd., Houma, La., 70360, NO LATER THAN June 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Any bids received after 10:00 AM will be returned to the provider unopened. All bids must be in a sealed envelope labeled “SEALED BID”. On line bids are being accepted on www.centralbidding.com.
