Separate sealed Bids for the construction of:
2023 Hopson Water Main Extension Project
will be received by the Owner at the Coahoma County Courthouse-115 First Street, Clarksdale, MS 38614 in the Board of Supervisors Conference Room until 2:00 P.M. CST on December 5th, 2023, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The project consists of the following major items:
5,400 LF +/- 4” C 900 PVC Direct Bury Water Main
200 LF +/- 4” HDPE Directional Bore
3,000 LBS +/- D.I. Fittings
The Contract Documents including detailed Instructions to Bidders may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, Smith & Weiland, upon payment of $100.00, NON-REFUNDABLE, for each set. Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the Coahoma County Board of Supervisors, must accompany each Bid. For bidders submitting bids electronically, the bond submitted must either be a bond issued by the Surety in electronic format or the original hard copy of the bid bond must be submitted to the Coahoma County Board of Supervisors, Coahoma County, Mississippi, prior to the bid opening in order for the bid to be valid.
Bidders are hereby notified that any Bid accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such Bid will not be considered in making the award.
A NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held per the Instructions to Bidder’s included in the bid package. The sponsor hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Buy American Requirements also apply. Any construction award of $20,000 or more can only be issued to a Contractor, appropriately licensed in the State of Mississippi. The OWNER may reject any or all BIDS, and/or waive informalities or minor irregularities in BIDS received.
