Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for a project Flamingo, FL (Monroe County)

Directions from Homestead Florida: Take Ingraham Hwy (FL-9336) south for 47 miles; when you enter the park the road splits to 4 lanes with a median, turn left at the sign for the Visitors Center. We will meet in the parking lot of the Guy Bradley Visitor Center. From there we will take a boat to the site (appox 20 miles away).

Because the site is only accessible by boat, please let us know in advance if you plan on attending and how many will attend, so we can assure we have enough boats. Contractors can also bring their own boat if desired.

The project scope includes the construction of a ditch plug in Raulerson Canal (approximately 12’ deep and 102’ wide), utilizing two rows of 166’ wide and 30’ deep steel sheet pile spaced 100’ apart backfilled between the walls with imported fill, armored with rip rap and additional necessary items as outlined in the project construction plans and specifications. The sheet pile material is to be provided.

Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory but is strongly suggested that interested bidders attend.
