Lafourche Basin Levee District (herein referred to as the “Owner”)
 
Sealed bids marked “Sealed Bids” – Board Meeting Room Addition. Project No. S-86-07 will be received by the Owner for the construction of the project described as follows:

Proposals shall be addressed to the Lafourche Basin Levee District and will be received by the Lafourche Basin Levee District located at 21380 Highway 20, Vacherie, LA 70090, until 2:00 p. m. on September 22, 2021. Proposals shall be designated as “Sealed Bid – Lafourche Basin Levee District Board Meeting Room Addition, Vacherie, Louisiana, Project No. S-86-07”   Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on September 22, 2021 in the Conference Room of the Lafourche Basin Levee District Office located at 21380 Highway 20, Vacherie, LA 70090. 

The information for Bidders, Form of Bid Proposal, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of C. J. Savoie Consulting Engineers, Inc. located at 5650 Louisiana Highway 1, Plattenville, LA. 70393 (mailing address P. O. Drawer R, Paincourtville, LA 70391).  Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of $200.00 which constitutes the cost of reproduction and handling and is non-refundable.
 
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:2212E.(1). Bidders now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds electronically.  Details may be viewed and electronic bids are being accepted at www.centralbidding.com. Each Prime Bidder shall obtain an original set of electronic or paper bidding documents from the design professional, C.J. Savoie Consulting Engineers, Inc.  Uploading of bidding documents are of the responsibility of the Prime Bidder.
 
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities incidental thereto, and to accept any bid which the Owner feels serves their best interest.  Such action will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statues.
 
Each Bidder must deposit with his/hers bid, security in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond.
 
All bidders must show proof that he/she is licensed in the State of Louisiana to perform Building Construction. 
 
Contractor’s license number must appear on the face of the sealed envelope containing his/hers bids.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to business in Louisiana, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.  Certificates of Insurance will also be required.
 
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.
 
The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of necessary materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
