The base bid for this project generally consists of the recapping/restoration of 4,945 linear feet of existing levee, elevating and resurfacing 1,005 linear feet of existing roadway, the supply and installation of 3-24” (150 linear feet) and 1-36” (55 linear feet) corrugated aluminum pipes with 2-48” and 1-72” aluminum risers, and 1,782 tons of rock riprap and 522 tons of surface aggregate to be placed on the existing levees and roadway as shown in the plans. This work shall also include performing the necessary mobilization, site preparation, excavation, water control, pollution control, seeding, and other items outlined in the plans and specifications or associated with constructing the project according to the plans and specifications. The mandatory Additive Alternate Bid generally consists of the clearing and grubbing of approximately 16.4 acres. The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures. The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein. Unit prices are required as part of the base bid of this contract.
