Separate written sealed BIDS for a General Contract for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction of:
ST. AUGUSTINE DRIVE DITCH IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
will be received by the Superintendent and School Board of the MADISON COUNTY SCHOOLS herein after called the OWNER at the office of the:
MADISON COUNTY SCHOOLS
476 HIGHLAND COLONY PARKWAY
RIDGELAND, MS 39157
Until 10:00am local time on December 6, 2022 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for supplying all labor, equipment and materials necessary for completion of the St. Augustine Drive Ditch Improvements Project.
Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.
Project includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately 1,400 tons of rip-rap and clearing and shaping of approximately 1,000’ of ditch and all other associated work
The DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

Copies of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be obtained at BENCHMARK ENGINEERING upon payment of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per set – none of which is refundable. No partial documents will be issued.
Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney.
No prospective CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Each bidder shall write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the hour and date designated above.

The MADISON COUNTY SCHOOLS reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids.
The Contract Time is Sixty (60) consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages being Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per calendar day thereafter.
