NOTICE is hereby given that Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Forrest County at the Forrest County Chancery Court building, located at 641 Main St., Hattiesburg, Mississippi, until 10:00 A.M., on August 15, 2024 and shortly thereafter publicly opened for the following:
 
CONSTRUCTION OF BOAT RAMP UPGRADES
FORREST COUNTY PROJECT NO. FC18-239
 
Plans and Proposals must be purchased from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids may be submitted at www.centralbidding.com, but may also be submitted in hard copy at the Office of the Purchase Clerk.  For any questions relating to the electronic bidding process, please call Central Bidding at 225-810-4814.
 
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to 5% of the amount of the bid, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or a bid bond written by a company properly licensed in Mississippi.
 
Each BID must be received in a sealed envelope which is marked in the lower left-hand corner EXACTLY as follows:

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The lowest and best proposal received will be accepted, subject to the provisions of Section 31-7-13 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated and Amended, and other applicable State law; but the Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received and to waive informalities.
