Pointe Coupee Parish Government is requesting proposals for an on-demand contractor to clear and cut blighted properties in Pointe Coupee Parish on an as-needed basis. These are properties that are in violation of the parish grass/debris ordinance. Jobs typically involve grass cutting of high grass (over 12 inches) and in some cases the removal of junk/debris. Contractors must be able to perform all work within 5 days of notice by the parish official. All prospective contractors will be responsible for disposal of said debris at a Parish approved site. Contractors will not be permitted to leave debris as part of the Parish’s roadside bulky waste pickup.
 
Sealed proposals will be received by the Pointe Coupee Parish Government at 160 East Main Street, Courthouse Annex Building, New Roads, Louisiana, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 and then at said office publicly opened.

PROPOSALS must include: A cover letter, proof of insurance (no less than $1 million general liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance), and pricing schedule. Pricing schedule should include itemized hourly rates for the following:
 
            Mower
            Utility Trailer/Dumpster/Dump Truck (including disposal costs)
            Laborer
            Weed Eater
            Chain Saw
            Bush Hog
            Skid Steer
 
PROPOSALS must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal – Blighted Property”. Contractors shall submit three (3) complete sets of the proposal. Email copies and fax copies will not be accepted.
 
Prospective Contractors must have experience in work of similar nature, in possession of necessary equipment or capable of obtaining necessary equipment within 15 days of receiving contract, and must provide a reference list of at least three (3) unrelated customers for whom they have performed similar work.
 
The Parish reserves the right to consider and/or reject any and all PROPOSALS.
