Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Byhalia Board of Aldermen in the Board Room at Byhalia Town Hall, 225 Highway 309, Byhalia, MS 38611 until 10:00 A.M. local time, March 15, 2023 and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud for:
BYHALIA WALKING TRAIL SPLASH PAD
LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND
PROJECT NO. 28-00693
BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI
Contractor shall commence work on or before a date to be stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. The scope of work is: to construct an approximately 2,000 SF concrete splash pad; 165 LF of 2” water line; 125 LF of 4” drain line; 144.4 SY parking area; and, 67.0 SY of concrete sidewalks.
Contract time for this project is 100 working days.
Should no award be made within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of proposals, all proposals may be rejected and all proposal guaranties returned, unless the lowest responsible bidder, at the request of the Mayor and Board, agrees in writing to a longer delay.
Plans and Specifications are on file at The Town of Byhalia Town Hall, 225 Highway 309, Byhalia, MS 38611 and Elliott & Britt Engineering, P.A., 823 North Lamar Blvd./P.O. Box 308, Oxford, Mississippi, 38655.
Plans and proposals may be secured from Elliott & Britt Engineering, P.A., located at 823 North Lamar Blvd./P.O. Box 308, Oxford, Mississippi 38655, Telephone (662) 234-1763. These are available upon payment of $105.00 for the Plans, Proposal and Contract Documents, none of which is refundable.

Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Licensed Mississippi Agent, or Mississippi Non-Resident Agent licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi, with Power of Attorney attached, or Cashier’s check or Certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to The Town of Byhalia, must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals may not be considered in making the award. The Town of Byhalia reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of The Town of Byhalia.
