CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA

Separate sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF ALEXANDRIA at the CITY COUNCIL MEETING CHAMBERS, ALEXANDRIA CITY HALL, ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA, until 10:00 O’CLOCK A.M., Tuesday, September 20, 2016, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for: 
 
ANNUAL CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER, WASTEWATER, GAS & ELECTRIC SYSTEMS
 
Full information, together with specifications may be obtained at the offices of Monceaux – Buller and Associates, LLC, 610 Desoto Street, Alexandria, Louisiana.  The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids.  Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.  No bidder may withdraw his Bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who bids according to the specifications with the right reserved by the City to reject any and all bids.
 
Cost per contract set will be $80.00, which cost represents the cost of reproduction and is non-refundable. Any requests for bid documents will be accompanied by payment in full.
 
Pursuant to Section 10.6 of the City of Alexandria Code of Ordinances all Bidders shall be licensed in the classification of MUNICIPAL and WATER, WASTWATER, GAS & ELECTRIC Work (Statewide) as prescribed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.
 
A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Lump Sum Base Bid is required.  The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of Total Lump Sum Base Bid.
 
Any suppliers of materials or processes not currently specified shall submit a submittal package at least 14 days prior to bid date in accordance with the specifications. Bidders will be notified by addendum of any materials and processes receiving approval.
 
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside of the state.
 
Note:  A mandatory pre-bid conference shall be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11:00 am, at the office of Monceaux-Buller & Associates, LLC located at 610 Desoto Street, Alexandria, La. 71301  only bids from those bidders in attendance of the of the mandatory pre-bid conference will be considered at the bid opening.
