BID NOTICE
 
Sealed bids will be received by Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 (mailing address PO Box 2392, Gonzales, LA 70707-2392) until January 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time.  The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:           
                                                            Waterman SSC-10 Slide Canal Gate
 
Waterman Rising – Stem Extensions are factory installed to the height required, providing a rising stem and handwheel, keeping threads and lifts above water level and allowing the amount of gate opening to be readily determined.
Stainless steel frame, guide rails, and bolts with galvanized coatings
Gate valves must be able to fit all types and size culverts and pipes included:
 
                        Culverts/ Pipes:         
                        -PVC
                        -HDPE
                        -Concrete
                        -Steel
 
                        Sizes:
                        15”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, 54”, 60”
 
                        Gate Valve Height Requirement for each Culvert and Pipes:
 
                        -15” Culvert/Pipe Need to have Gate Valve Height of 30”
                        -18” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 34”
                        -24” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 44”
                        -30” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 54”
                        -36” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 62”
                        -42” Culvert/ Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 84”
                        -48” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 90”
                        -60” Culvert/Pipe need to have Gate Valve Height of 102”
                       
                        *Alternate pricing for additional inches per culvert/pipe that may be required.
 
                        *Must Receive Gate Valves Within 60 Days of Purchase.
                       
LA. R.S. 38:2212 (F) (2)
Whenever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer or definite specifications utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type character, and quality of the product desired and that equivalent products will be acceptable.
 
Delivery of material must be made within 60 days of the purchase order date, or the purchase order will be cancelled and a purchase order will be issued to the next lowest bidder.
 
Bid to be submitted for a one-year (12 month) period.
 
Specifications/bidding documents may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Government, Purchasing Department located at 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
 
Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
