CITY OF PICAYUNE, MISSISSIPPI
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The City of Picayune, Mississippi has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is seeking Proposals from qualified Contractors for Solid Waste Collection within the city limit boundaries for a period of four (4) years, with an elective twelve (12) month additional term, should such additional term be agreed to in writing by the City and the winning Contractor. Contractor shall furnish vehicles, equipment, labor, and facilities to collect solid waste generated by residents and light commercial units and haul solid waste to the City’s designated facility (Waste Management, Incorporated’s Central Landfill in Pearl River County, Mississippi). The RFP also seeks proposals for rubbish and yard debris collection, and recycling services as additive alternatives.
The complete RFP may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk located at 203 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS 39466. Proposals should address the selection criteria listed below and be limited to 30 pages, exclusive of cover, divider pages and transmittal letter.
Five (5) copies should be delivered to the office of the City Clerk, at 203 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, Mississippi 39466 no later than 10 a.m. on July 18, 2022. The outside of the package should be marked “SOLID WASTE COLLECTION – REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.” Official bid documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Contractors will be ranked based on the criteria set forth below. A selection committee will evaluate the RFPs based on the following selection criteria:
- Costs of Contractor services (70 pts)
- Qualifications of the Contractor (20 pts)
- Previous experience of Contractor with the City of Picayune (10 pts)
