Advertisement for Request for Proposal                
Notice is hereby given that a sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System Technology Department located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508. Delivery to any other department other than the Technology Department is unacceptable and may result in non-consideration of the proposal.
 
Sealed proposals will be received until May 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CST for:
                       
                        Voice over Internet Protocol Phone Service
                        RFP #81-19
                       
 
The Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) currently uses for its district-wide phone system a hosted SIP VOIP PBX. Our current system supports approximately 1,300 users and provides basic calling features, voicemail, delivery of voicemail and faxes by email, and an integration with cell phones. The system serves 50 facilities within LPSS, 46 schools and 4 office campuses.  Current contract for these services will expire at the end of this fiscal year.  
 
The RFP #81-19 is to obtain a proposal from a reputable firm for a hosted unified communications service. The proposal must include porting the current LPSS Phone System Configuration to the new proposed system. The proposal provided should assume that contract terms will be for one 3 year period with three one year renewal options.
 
A Request for Proposal package may be obtained from the Purchasing Department website at www.lpssonline.com/site638.php or via Central Auction House (registration required) at https://www.centralauctionhouse.com.  Specifications will be available Friday, April 12, 2019.
 
A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on May 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CST in the Technology Department Conference Room located at 113 Chaplin Drive Lafayette, LA 70508.
 
On May 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CST, only the names of the proposal respondents will be read aloud in the Technology Department Conference Room [or LPSS Board Room].
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
