Sealed bids for the construction of Frank Oakes Road Improvements Project, CDBG Project No. 1138-21-057-ED-01 for the Pike County Board of Supervisors in Pike County, Mississippi, will be received until 10:00 AM local time on September 20, 2022, at the Pike County Court House located at 200 E. Bay Street, Magnolia, MS 39652, and shortly thereafter will be opened and publicly read.
The work involved in the project includes roadbed reclamation with cement mixing, asphalt paving, and related items as described in the project Construction Drawings and Contract Documents. All documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from Dungan Engineering, P. A., 200 N Broadway, McComb, Mississippi 39648, (601) 823-7026 Official bid documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required at the time of request for Construction Drawings and Contract Documents. A copy of the Contract Drawings and Documents may be examined at the office of Dungan Engineering, P. A., 200 N Broadway, McComb, Mississippi, 39648 during regular business hours or at www.dunganeng.com/bids.
This construction project is financed by the Mississippi Development Authority, Community Services Division, by a Community Development Block Grant through the Small Government Public Facilities Category, 1138-21-057-ED-01, and is subject to the rules and regulations of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and all amendments thereof. Neither the United States nor any departments, agencies, or employees is, or will be, a part of this Invitation for Proposals or any resulting contract.
The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended. CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training, and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents.
Davis Bacon Act: The Contractor shall pay labor rates set forth by “wage rates” as mandated by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
