Advertisement for Request for Proposals
 
Interested vendors are invited to submit proposals to St. Charles Parish School Board (“SCPSB”) electronically via the Central Auction House website located at the “Online Bids & RFPs” link under the Resources tab at the SCPSB website https://www.stcharles.k12.la.us/. Questions should be submitted electronically via the online site no later than noon on May 27, 2022. Firms are responsible for checking the website above periodically for any updates or revisions to the Request for Proposals (“RFP”).
 
All proposals will be accepted until 12:00pm local time (Central Standard/Daylight Savings Time) on 5/31/2022. All proposals received will be taken under advisement as submitted by the assigned date and time at SCPSB. All requirements must be addressed in your proposal. Non-responsive proposals will not be considered. Failure to follow these instructions could result in disqualification of the proposal. SCPSB reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.

On 5/11/2022, the St. Charles Parish School Board approved a new salary scale for substitute teachers the 2022-2023 school year. Please reference the addendum titled 2022-2023 Substitute Pay Scale Addendum when responding to the RFP.

1. What does ‘Non-Parish Certified' and ‘Parish Certified’ mean? 2. What are your pay rates for Clerical, Head Start, Early Head Start, and Adult Education roles? 3. What are your current fill rates by role?

1. Non-Parish Certified is a designation for substitute teachers who do not complete/pass the sub assessment through our training vendor STEDI. Once the substitute teacher passess the assessment, they move from non-parish certified to parish certified pay. 2. The new pay rates for for Clerical, Head Start, Early Head Start, and Adult Education roles will be $15 per hour. 3. Fill rate for this school year (7/1/21-4/30/22): Clerical 19.79% *This fill rate may be inaccurate as secretary positions are usually covered by each location. Head Start 96.48% * Head Start fill rates are higher because they have their own sub pool due to the state required screening process (addtl background checks, physiclas, and TB Test).' We no longer staff Adult Education.
