Request for Bids
 
Sealed bids, from licensed contractors, for the construction of a concrete bridge structure on CR 1-Denton Ferry Road in the City of Cotter, Arkansas, will be received by Tina M Cole, CDC at Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District Office, 818 Hwy 62-412/65N, Harrison, AR  72601, until 12:00pm (Central Time), January 28th, 2022, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the Baxter County Courthouse, 1 East 7th Street, Mountain Home, AR  72653 the same day. 
The contractor is primarily responsible for constructing the concrete bridge structure as well as the associated structures, reinforcement, and necessary excavation, drilling, boring, shoring, formwork, and other actions necessary to construct the project’s structures, as described by the project drawings. The contractor must comply with the requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineering, the Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) permit, and the Arkansas DEQ-County Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan requirements, as included in the appendices of these Specifications. The County is responsible for the demolition of the existing 5-culvert bridge structures prior to the contractor starting work, final stream bed restoration after the contractor has completed the concrete bridge structure, approaches, and associated soil stabilization rip-rap, and the County is responsible for the new roadway to the new bridge structure outside of the extents of the contractor’s project site after the contractor has completed the concrete bridge structure, approaches, and associated soil stabilization rip-rap.

The County of Baxter reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within 10 days after the date of bid opening and must provide required documentation. All bidding processes shall be in accordance with State law.
