NOTICE TO BIDDERS
 
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by St. James Parish Government, 5800 Hwy 44, Convent, LA, 70723 until 9:00 A.M., on Tuesday , August 3, 2021, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase of the following materials:
 
 FILL SAND, MISSISSIPPI RIVERSILT-BATTURE, AND CLAY
TO BE DELIVERED TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS THORUGHOUT ST. JAMES PARISH
 
ALTERNATE BID #1
TO BE PICKED UP BY PARISH TRUCKS
 
Bid will be accepted on a price per cubic yard basis only for a one-year period.
                                                                             
Detailed specifications and proposal forms can be obtained from the St.  James Parish Government Operations Office located at 5800 Hwy 44, Convent, LA 70723 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M., Monday-Thursday and 8:00-10:00 on Friday,  by emailing Dustin Falgoust @ [email protected], except holidays or by electronic bid at www.centralauctionhouse.com.
 
All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked ?SEALED BID –  FILL SAND, MISSISSIPPI RIVERSILT-BATTURE, AND CLAY. Any bid received after the deadline specified will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
 
The lowest responsive bidder that is awarded the bid must have a minimum of $1,000,000 of general liability insurance and a minimum $500,000 Workmen’s Compensation insurance. A copy of the insurance must be sent to St. James Parish Government before vendor can deliver material.
 
Requirements: All material ordered must be delivered within fifteen (15) working days from the date of order. During a declared state of emergency St. James Parish Government or the State of Louisiana, delivery of requested material must begin within six (6) hours of request. If any named material above is not available, please state in Bid Response.
 
Bids shall be evaluated and awarded, based on the lowest qualified bid that is in compliance with the bid specifications.  St. James Parish reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any portions thereof or to accept any bid(s) which in the opinion of the St. James Parish Council will be in the best interest of the Parish and to waive all informalities.
