Work to be performed includes the removal of all vegetation and 12" of top soil from the areas shown on the plans, compacted embankment fill to the plans, profiles and cross sections shown in the plans and install seeding and establish turf for the areas shown in the plans. Contractors are responsible for storm water pollution prevention planning, permitting and execution. Contractors are to also responsible to fully restore all areas impacted by their means and methods in order to perform the work.

Bidders are invited to attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, in the Meeting Hall located in Franklin Avenue Administration/Engineering Building at 6920 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122. Bids shall be accepted only from those bidders who attend the Pre-Bid Conference in its entirety. Names and copies of photo identification cards will be taken during the Pre-Bid Conference to coordinate security access for the Jobsite Visit A Mandatory jobsite visit will be conducted by Orleans Levee District on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:00am beginning at the NASA Visitors Center parking lot located at 13800 Old Gentilly Road, New Orleans, Louisiana 70129. Participation in the jobsite visit is mandatory. The visit will facilitate access to project features that may not otherwise be accessible to prospective bidders.
