BID NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 until Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. CDT. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF LIQUID CL2 (FOR WATER TREATMENT) TO:
Parish Utilities of Ascension Water Plant

Wherever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specification is utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they are used only to denote the quality standard of product desired and that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type, character, and quality of product desired; and that equivalent products will be acceptable.
Bids will be accepted on a
price per one (1) ton cylinder, maximum of 2,000 lbs., basis for a period of one (1) year to commence upon the date of approval.
Liquid CL2 will be purchased upon demand as needed and delivered to the specified destination within seven (7) days of request. One or more containers may be requested at the time of order.
Freight charges, if applicable, should be included in the total cost of unit price when bidding. Bids may be rejected if not quoted FOB delivered or freight charges are not indicated on bid forms.
Bidding Documents may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Department located at 615 E. Worthey St. Gonzales, LA 70737. Electronic Bids are accepted at Central Bidding. Central Bidding can be accessed at http://www.centralauctionhouse.com. Bidding Documents are available at Central Bidding. Ascension Parish Government shall not be responsible if the bidder cannot complete and submit a bid due to failure or incomplete delivery of the files submitted via the internet.
The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any bid, response to a request for qualifications, or request for proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause.
