INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the CITY OF FLOWOOD, MS (herein called the Owner) will receive written, sealed bids until 10:30 a.m. local time on Thursday March 16th, 2023 at the office of the City Clerk in Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232, or electronic bids submitted via www.centralbidding.com, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of that certain project designated as:
FLOWOOD TERM BID – VARIOUS PUBLIC WORKS ITEMS
Contract Documents and Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at Flowood City Hall located at 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232.
The bid items include the Bidder furnishing all labor, materials & equipment required to accomplish any one or more of the following work: sewer bypassing, waste water system installation and/or repairs, water system installation and/or repairs, pavement removal and replacement, excavation, concrete work, dewatering, cleaning, TVing, CIPP, sewer point repairs, and other items as shown on the Proposal Form.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. local time in the Board Room of the City of Flowood at the above listed address. Attendance by a principal, project manager or estimator of any prospective bidder is recommended but not required.
Copies of the Contract Documents and Specifications, may be obtained from the office of Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC, 660 Katherine Dr., Suite 302 upon payment of $100 for each set, none of which is refundable.
A Bid Bond will not be required on this project.
Contractor(s) will be required to post a $500,000.00 bond in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond for the contract time period.
No prospective CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The CITY OF FLOWOOD reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities or to reject any or all bids.
The intent of Bids received by Owner is to establish unit prices for anticipated work that may be necessary to repair City Owned infrastructure in emergency or certain other situations. Bids will be compared and awarded at the time services are needed on the basis of the required pay items, quantity, unit price for the work that is required and the availability of the Bidder.
