The City of New Roads will receive separate sealed Bids for WSP 2023 Water Program, Elevated Tank Repair and Repainting - Waterloo Tank, Contract No. 23-1988-30. The work consists of repairing and repainting the 150,000 gallon elevated tank.
The City of New Roads will receive Bids until 2:00 P.M. local time, May 23, 2024, at City of New Roads, 211 West Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. The outside of the Bid envelope shall be marked with the project title, name and address of the Bidder and current Contractor’s license number.

Note: The Bidder of this project, i.e., General Contractor, shall be registered as a Prime Bidder on this project with the issuing office (Central Auction House) to submit a bid. Those Bidders who are not registered as a Prime Bidder and those without a valid Louisiana Contractor’s license may not have their bids accepted at the bid opening.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled on-site at 9 am local time on May 2, 2024. Attendees shall meet at the Waterloo tank directly behind the New Roads Fire District Waterloo Substation at 14283 Patin Dyke Rd, Ventress, LA 70783 at the specified time. All in attendance will be required to sign a sign-in sheet.
Since Federal funds are to be used in portions of this project, Bidders are reminded that per Federal Law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200.317 – 200.327 apply. This includes the additional good faith efforts to solicit minority owned, women owned, and disadvantaged owned business. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review Article 19.00 of Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions within the Project Manual and to follow any and all federal requirements.
AIS and Davis-Bacon Wage rates do not apply to this project but are encouraged.
Project to be constructed under a single prime contract. Prime Bidder shall hold a Louisiana Commercial License in Municipal and Public Works Construction Subclass 7-48 Painting, Coating and Blasting (Industrial and Commercial)
Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
The City of New Roads reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
