Roadway Median, Facility and Park Landscape Maintenance
City of Gretna, Louisiana

The City of Gretna hereby invites you to submit a proposal to perform long-term landscape maintenance on selected roadway medians, facilities, and parks within the City of Gretna. Proposals will be received by the City of Gretna in the Mayor’s Office, Gretna City Hall, 2nd Street and Huey P. Long Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana 70053, until 10:00 a.m. local time, Friday, February 8, 2013 for the Roadway Median, Facility and Park Landscape Maintenance.

The proposal provides for the landscape maintenance of trees, shrub beds, groundcovers, and annuals on designated roadway medians, City facilities, and parks within the City of Gretna. Turf maintenance is not a part of the maintenance work.

All proposals must be in accordance with the Request for Proposal Documents on file with the City of Gretna’s CAO office, Gretna City Hall, 2nd Street and Huey P. Long Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana 70053.

Each potential maintenance contractor must obtain the appropriate contractor’s or professional license from the State of Louisiana prior to submitting his proposal.

The successful Proposer will be required to furnish Insurance Certificates and a Performance and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. Sureties will be required to meet qualifications set forth in the Request for Proposal.

No proposal may be withdrawn within a period of 45 days after the date fixed for opening proposals except as allowed by law. All work is to commence within 30 days after the Date of Contact.

The City of Gretna reserves the right to reject any or all Bids for just cause, to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional Bids, and to make awards pursuant to the law.
