The City of Natchez will receive sealed bids for the Auburn Columns, Billiard Hall, and Pavilion Restoration project in the Office of the City Clerk, 124 South Pearl Street, Natchez, MS 39120, until 3:00 P.M. CST on Thursday, March 21, 2024, with bids then publicly opened, read aloud, and thereafter taken under advisement until the next meeting of the Natchez Mayor and Board of Alderman.
The funding for the Auburn Columns, Billiard Hall, and Pavilion Restoration is from a 2021 Community Heritage Preservation Grant through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, allocated under the provisions of Senate Bill 2971, Laws of Mississippi 2021, along with matching funds from the City of Natchez. No federal funds will be used for this renovation project.
Principal items of work include partial demolition, lime based exterior plaster restoration,
roof replacement, concrete work, structural stabilization, rough and finish carpentry,
historic wood window and door restoration, new doors and hardware, exterior painting,
new mechanical, plumbing and electrical work.
