INVITATION TO BIDDERS
 
            Sealed bids will be received on Thursday, July 25, 2024, by the Terrebonne Parish Fire District No. 6, at the Montegut Fire Station, 1105 Hwy 55, Montegut, LA until 2:00 pm CST, and shall at that time and place publicly open the bids and read them aloud.
 
Bid documents are posted on http://www.centralauctionhouse.com/rfp.php?cid=65.   To view these, download, and receive bid notices by e-mail, you must register with Central Auction House (CAH).  Vendors/Contractors have the option to submit their bids electronically or by paper copy.   For information about the electronic submittal process, contact Ted Fleming with Central Auction House at 225-810-4814. 
 
            Each bid shall be either hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, or such bid shall be sent by United States Postal Service registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested or shall be submitted electronically with Central Auction House (CAH). Bids shall not be accepted or taken, including receiving any hand delivered bids, on days which are recognized as holidays by the United States Postal Service.

No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered.  Failure of the U.S. Mail to deliver the bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the bid opening to be extended.
 
            Project Name:           New Pointe Aux Chenes Fire Station
            Project No:                Architect’s Project No. 2271
           
            Project Description:  Construction of a new fire station with ground level housing fire fighting apparatus and second floor meeting space with bunkroom and two bedroom living quarters with kitchen, dining and living areas.
 
            Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Bidding Documents. A single set of Bidding Documents shall be issued at the cost of reproduction to contractors who are licensed by the Licensing Board of Contractors.   
 
This Project shall require a Louisiana Contractors license number for BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
 
            Bidding Documents for this Project are on file in the office of the Designer, Gros Flores Positerry, LLC 104 Rue Angelique, Suite A, Thibodaux, Louisiana.  Please contact the Architect for any clarification or information regarding the specifications.
 
            A Non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 pm on July 15, 2024, at the office of Montegut Volunteer Fire Department located at 1105 Hwy 55, Montegut, LA, 70377
             
The Terrebonne Parish Fire District No. 6 reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with Louisiana State Bid Law.

Additional Notes/Requirements

Project is a two-story building, pile supported concrete slab on grade with poured in place concrete columns and second floor concrete slab supporting wood framed living quarters and control office with bunk room.
