Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the McFaddin NWR – Wild Cow Levee Restoration Project.  We are having a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing to interested contractors from our bidders list at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2nd. We will meet at the existing parking lot/boat ramp and contractor staging area as shown on the plans on McFaddin NWR, Jefferson County, TX 77990 (29°42'01"N; 94°05'53"W). Contractors interested in seeing the project area must bring an airboat to facilitate their access.
 
This project generally consists of the recapping/restoration of 30,720 linear feet of existing levee, the supply and installation of 5-48” DR19 HDPE smooth wall pipes (100 linear feet) with 5-84” riser structures and 4,800 S.F. of vinyl sheet pile bulkhead for a single water control structure located on McFaddin NWR – Wild Cow Levee. This work shall also include performing the necessary mobilization, site preparation, excavation, water control, pollution control, seeding, and other items outlined in the plans and specifications or associated with constructing the project according to the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures. The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein. Unit prices are required as part of the base bid of this contract. Contract completion time is 150 calendar days.
