Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Ossabaw Island Storm Repair Projects located in Chatham County, Georgia. We are having a prebid meeting for this project on:
Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM
We will meet at the Ft McAlister State Park in Chatham County. From I95, just south Savannah, exit 90 to Richmond Hill, follow GA Hwy 144 (Bryans Neck Rd) to the east for 6.5 miles and turn left onto GA 144 Spur (Fort McAllister Rd), turn right onto Savage Island Rd and follow to the gate. We will meet there before driving to the landing. From there we will take a GADNR boat to Ossabaw Island.
Since a boat is required to view Ossabaw Island, please notify us in advance if you plan to attend.
A summary of quantities is shown below and is subject to change prior to release of bid documents:
Ossabaw Island: Repair of breached dike, installation of 20 lf 15” HDPE Pipe, 64 lf wooden bulkhead, 4288 sf Tied Concrete Mat Emergency Spillway, and 6335 lf dike retopping and associated items
Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory but is strongly suggested that interested bidders attend.
