Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Lacassine NWR - Unit B - 2024 Hydraulic Upgrades - Phase I on USFWS property.  There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024; for contractors interested in placing bids.  The meeting will initiate at the USFWS Lacassine NWR Unit B entrance to the project site off of Hwy 3056 on Streeter Road approximately 1.9 miles west of the Mermentau River southwest of Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and headquarters.  Please see the attached and sheet 3 of the plan set for further details.  All general information related to the project can be found in the solicitation.

Additional Notes/Requirements

Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors on DU’s prequalified contractor bidder’s list and with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications. It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws. Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond. If the bids are awarded, the successful bidder must submit a 100% performance and payment bond along with proper insurance and evidence of workmen’s compensation.
