OCD/DR Project No. 39 PARA 3202
Separate sealed bids for the FORDOCHE COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION OCD/DR NUMBER: 39 PARA 3202, will be received by the POINTE COUPEE PARISH POLICE JURY at the POLICE JURY MEETING ROOM, 106 E. MAIN STREET, NEW ROADS, LOUISIANA 70760 until 2:00 P.M. on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2012 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds, Drawings and Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following location:

Copies may be obtained at the office of BBI Architects, AAC, upon payment of $125 for each set of documents. The deposit on the first set of documents furnished bonafide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to bidders the deposit less actual cost of reproduction will be refunded upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids.
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:2212(A)(1)(F) and 38:2212.1(B)(4), Bidders now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically. To view, download, and receive bid notices, drawings, specifications, addendum, etc, by email, Bidder will need to register with

The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause.
The attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
Sureties used for obtaining Bonds must appear as acceptable on the Department of Treasury Circular 570.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof; except as prescribed in R.S. 38:2215B.
As a requirement under Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2163, this project is classified as Building Construction.
In accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements stated in the Advertisement for Bids and those required on the Bid Form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived.
Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury no later than seven (7) days prior to bid opening.
