After stamping to acknowledge timely receipt, the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Sole responsibility for proper mailing or delivery of any bid in compliance with this advertisement is that of the bidder.  Any offer received after closing time will be returned unopened.
 
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Alternates and must be in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana.
 
Complete Bid Documents may be obtained from Yeager, Watson & Associates, Inc., An Architectural Corporation, 808 Versailles Boulevard, Alexandria, LA  71303-2377, (318)  445â??2446, upon deposit of $100.00 for each set of documents.  The deposit is fully refundable to all planholders upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than fifteen (15) days after receipt of bids.  The deposit of all other sets returned after fifteen (15) days will be forfeited.

A. Phillips Elementary School, 811 Durwood Drive, Minden, LA 71055 at 9:30 AM local time, and moving to Webster Junior High School, 700 East Union Street, Minden, LA 71055 at 10:30 AM local time, Thursday, August 11, 2016. BID DATE: 2:00 PM Thursday, 25th August, 2016 - Webster Parish School Board, 1442 Sheppard Street; Minden, LA This project is to be completed in 310 days. PLAN DEPOSIT: $100.00 each set; refundable on submitting a bid & after contract documents are safely returned by on/before September 9th, 2016 The project is located at both J. A. Phillips Elementary & Webster Jr. High School and includes the following: Base Bid: Includes all work at both campuses. J. A. Phillips Elementary School: < New Building D: Construction of a new Classroom Building for Kindergarten students, consisting of a new detached single-story classroom wing. < Existing Building A: Renovation work inside the existing School Building to upgrade and expand restrooms, to subdivide large spaces for classrooms, and renovate other classrooms to be age- appropriate. < Site: Work consists of site clearing, grading, drainage, additional concrete parking paving, concrete walkway and pad paving, fencing, and associated utility work. Webster Junior High School: < New Building J: Construction of a new Classroom & Multipurpose Building for 6th Grade students, consisting of a new detached single story classroom wing with P.E. Gym. < Existing Building F: Renovation work inside the existing Gymnasium to add telescoping bleachers at both ends of the court. Also, fill in the recessed floor at the Cafeteria/Auditorium. < Existing Building G: Renovation work inside the existing School Building to outfit a vacant room as a new Computer Lab. < Existing Building H: Renovation work inside the existing Classroom Building to combine two classrooms and expand the restroom and cleanup area for Special Education students. < Site: Work consists of site clearing, grading, drainage, additional asphalt parking paving, concrete walkway and pad paving, fencing, and associated utility work. Alternate No. 1: Add an Aluminum Unloading Cover and associated concrete walk expansion to the East side of the Webster Junior High campus. Note to Contractors: This project also includes a CONTRACTOR OPTION to construct the Phillips Building D utilizing a modular concrete building system as manufactured by Fibrebond Corp., Minden, LA, or approved equal system. The project is designed to use “conventional” building systems, or at the Contractor’s Option, to use the Fibrebond product for the structural shell of the building.
